Leaving this screenshot to encourage people to try the game. Nice consistent look, which is impressive when you consider this was made with Pygame. The mechanics did not feel awfully consistent, I never knew why I was taking damage or what I could have done differently. But the theme and prerequisite were incorporated beautifully.
